Missed a dose of Mounjaro? What to do

Mounjaro gives you 4 days to take a late dose. After that, you skip it and go back to your usual day. Here is the rule from the prescribing information, with examples.

Key points
  • Within 4 days (96 hours): take the missed dose as soon as possible.
  • More than 4 days: skip it, then take the next dose on your regular day.
  • Never double up.
  • Missed more than one dose? Check with your prescriber first.
  • Changing your day? Keep at least 3 days between doses.

Changing your injection day

You can move your weekly day as long as there are at least 3 days (72 hours) between two doses.[1] Mounjaro can be taken at any time of day, with or without meals.[1]
