How pages on this site are researched, written and kept up to date.
Scope
We write for people who have already been prescribed a GLP-1 medication and want practical help with it. We stay within the mechanics of treatment: what the official instructions say about injecting, storing, traveling with and paying for these medicines. Where a question needs clinical judgement, such as whether to change a dose, what a symptom means, or whether a medicine is right for you, we say so plainly and point you to your prescriber.
How a page is made
- We identify the question people are actually asking.
- We find the primary source that answers it: the FDA-approved prescribing information, the manufacturer's Instructions for Use, an FDA page, or peer-reviewed research. See the sourcing policy.
- We write the answer in plain language, quoting the source word for word where precision matters, and link every factual health statement to its source.
- We check the draft against the sources before publishing.
- We use AI tools to help research and draft. Every health statement is checked against its cited source before it goes live, and the source is linked so you can check it too.
Review
Pages are currently compiled by the site's editor, an independent researcher without medical credentials. They have not been reviewed by a clinician. Each page says this in its byline. When we add a licensed reviewer, reviewed pages will name the reviewer and the review date. We will never invent a reviewer or imply credentials we do not have.
What we will not publish
- Weight-loss or efficacy promises beyond what the prescribing information states.
- Personalized dose recommendations, or dose and unit conversion tools for compounded or research products.
- Content that promotes unapproved, research-use-only or grey-market products.
- Invented testimonials or reviews.
Updates
Labels change. Each page shows the date it was last updated, and each source in its source list shows the revision date of the document we used and when we last checked it. When a manufacturer re-issues a label, we re-check every statement that cites it.
