Our take

Sesame is a good fit if you want brand-name medicine with ongoing video care at a low membership price, and you are happy to commit for a year to get it. It works with or without insurance. As with every program like this, the medicine is a separate cost, so add the two together when you compare.[1]

What it costs

Sesame lists ongoing video visits, dedicated provider care, labs and messaging from $59 a month, based on a 12-month commitment. Medicine is not included and depends on your insurance and pharmacy.[1] At the makers' self-pay prices, the Wegovy pill starts at $149 a month and Zepbound vials or KwikPen at $299 for the starting dose.[4, 5]

Medicines offered

Sesame's weight-loss page lists FDA-approved options including the Wegovy pill and pen, Zepbound (KwikPen and vials), Foundayo and Ozempic, with insurance or at a cash price. A clinician decides which, if any, is right for you.[1]

Good to know before you sign up

  • The $59 price needs a 12-month commitment. Shorter terms cost more.[1]
  • Medicine is billed separately. Your insurance, or a self-pay price, covers it.[1]
  • Read the cancellation and refund terms at checkout before you commit.

What customers say

Sesame has over 4,500 reviews on Trustpilot across all its services, with an overall score of 4.6 out of 5. Reviewers often praise kind, attentive clinicians and easy booking. The complaints mention providers not showing up for appointments, billing problems and slow support.[2]

Our checks

Every partner we link to is re-checked every month against five tests: LegitScript certification, FDA warning letters, lawsuits, how the medicine is supplied, and marketing claims.[3] Sesame passed all five on October 20, 2026. See how we check partners. Passing our checks is not a medical endorsement: whether a medicine is right for you is a clinician's decision.
